Journalists challenged to report on rural electrification

By Wilson Mulinda

The Rural Electrification Authority -REA- has challenged Journalists to increase awareness on the importance of rural electrification as a key component of rural development.

REA Chief Executive Officer, LINUS CHANDA says the media plays a crucial role in development of rural areas.

Mr CHANDA says the stories written by journalists help the authority to track progress made and at the same time establish the areas that need immediate attention.

He was speaking last night in Lusaka, during the 2023 REA Media Awards Ceremony.

Mr CHANDA said the authority is transforming brand identity and spreading its presence across the country.

ZNBC staff, LUCKY PHIRI, LUPINDULA MWEWA and BISTONE LUBUMBA were among the winners of various awards .
