Brighton Makai, 54, of Chazanga compound was testifying in a case in which his wife, Grace Makai, 44, sued him for reconciliation.

‘’Makai was saying I was making love with men in the restaurant. But he also gets money from the house rentals and uses it on beer, he even threw away the food from the restaurant,’’ said Grace.

In defence, Makai said that he was angry because he was not seeing the money from the rentals the rooms which were turned into a school and that Grace would accuse him of doing nothing.

Makai explained that he used to escort Grace to buy chickens for the restaurant but later she told him to stop and that she started sleeping with cloths on and giving him her back in bed.

Makai added that Grace took him to Victim Support Unit in Kabangwe but she was found to be wrong and that even the officer in charge said she had a demon.

Makai further said that for two years now Grace was failing to wash is cloths and sweep the house or even prepare water to bath for him.

‘’I found Grace in a restaurant with a man in compromising manner and the other time they hugged at a shop with a certain man. It is true I threw away food because Grace was not at the restaurant for two hours,’’ said Makai.

Asked by Grace if she was refusing to sleep with him because of beer, Makai said he has been drinking since he married Grace and that she was behaving like just because he lost job as a manager.

The court said that there was no communication in the marriage.
