JAPAN SPENDS $1.7M BUILDING HEALTH FACILITIES IN CB.

The Japanese government has spent 1.7 million dollars in the last three years constructing health infrastructure on the Copperbelt.
Some of the facilities consturcted include a mother’s shelter, a maternity ward, youth center and staff houses in Masaiti District.
The facilities where constructed at Njelemani Clinic in Chiwala area of Masaiti District.
Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya has praised the Japanese Government for funding the projects.

Dr Chilufya said this in a speech read for him by Masaiti District Commissioner Mike Musonda.
This was when the facilities were handed over to the Zambia government.

Meanwhile, Senior Chief Chiwala of the Lamba people of Masaiti District has declared himself a champion in the promotion of Women’s health and the girl child.
