Nkana has been crowned Champions of the 2019/2020 Zambia Super League after they peeped Forest Rangers on goal difference to win their record 13th title and move four clear on the chart.

This follows Forest Rangers’ failure to beat Zanaco this afternoon at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the final match of the season as they two sides played out to a goalless draw.

The Wusakile based outfit has a +17 goal difference while Fole Malembe has a +13 goal difference as both teams finish the season on 50 points after 27 rounds of matches.

The 2019/2020 Zambia Super League season was ended prematurely by the FAZ Executive Committee on advice from the Ministry of Health following the sharp rise in Coronavirus cases in the country.

Nkana will be joined by Fole Malembe in representing Zambia in the CAF Champions League while Napsa Stars and Green Eagles will play CAF Confederation Cup. Napsa Stars and Forest Rangers will be making their debuts in the CAF Inter-clubs competitions.

The new Zambia Super League season is scheduled to start after two months with October 17th as the official date set by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).
