INVEST MORE IN RESEARCH- GOVT TOLD

The Centre for Environmental Justice has called on Government to start investing more in research and sensitization programmes to control the rate of deforestation.

Centre for Environmental Justice, Head of Programmes RICKY KALALUKA says Zambia is one of the countries that have an increase in the levels of deforestation.

Mr. KALALUKA says some members of the public have taken matters into their own hands by building and farming in forest reserved areas.

He told ZNBC News that through deforestation a lot of resources are lost.
