Insurance Companies Urged To Embrace Technology

The Insurers Association of Zambia –IAZ- has implored insurance companies to embrace technology in order to improve the current low insurance penetration in the country.

According to IAZ president Paul Nkhoma, only 2.8 percent of adult Zambians are insured.

Mr Nkhoma observes that lack of awareness coupled with cultural issues have continued to affect the uptake of insurance products resulting into low insurance penetration.

He says going forward, there is need for collaborated efforts by all stakeholders in order to change the current quo status.
