Barbara Banda could be ruled of for the rest of the season, after she was substituted with suspected injury in the second half of her Liga Iberdrola side EDF Logrono’s 3-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
Banda was a menace for the Vallecano defense who could not cope with her pace in the first half, but would be replaced the 55th by Ivorian Ida Guehai due to injury.
After a barren first half, it was Jade Boho who opened the scoring on 61 minutes before doubling the lead in the 70th minute.
Right back Cami Privett made the points safe for the hosts when she netted in the 75th minute, ending a two match winless streak, to open a five point gap on the relegation zone in the process.
Chechu Martínez’s side will confirm their stay in the Liga Iberdrola with a positive result away to Betis on April 28. They host relegation threatened Fondacion Albacete in their last match of the season on May 5.
