Injured UNZA student evacuated to South Africa for specialised treatment

GOVERNMENT has evacuated a second year University of Zambia (UNZA) student to South Africa for specialised spinal treatment.Everntyn Chongo, sustained spinal injury and also broke both legs as she jumped from the third floor of her hostel which was on fire during a riot on Thursday at the University.Everntyn was admitted to the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka.Minister of Health Chilufya Chitalu oversaw the evacuation around midnight.
