By ZANIS:The Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry has launched the Industrial and Trade Survey aimed at ascertaining the full impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the country’s economy.The survey will be conducted with support from the United National Development Programme -UNDP.Speaking during the launch in Lusaka, Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Christopher Yaluma explained that the rapid business survey covers both small and large scale businesses.Mr. Yaluma noted that the information which will be generated from the survey will assist government to formulate policies designed to drive the economy during the COVID-19 period.He reiterated government’s commitment to helping the private sector thrive during the Covid-19 period.And UNDP Resident Representative, Lionel Laurens commended government for initiating the rapid COVID-19 business survey.Mr. Laurens hoped that the survey will provide comprehensive data on the impact that  the pandemic has caused on micro, small, medium and large business enterprises.
