DISMISSED works and supply minister Felix Mutati says he will rise again.
Concluding his remarks at the ACCA-Zambia tax forum at Hotel Intercontinental yesterday where he was guest of honour, in an apparent reference to his dismissal, Mutati said, “when you trip and you keep your eyes down, you will be overrun.” “So in my case, I will rise again, thank you.”
Mutati left the event soon after he spoke saying he was rushing for a funeral in Mazabuka.
President Edgar Lungu dismissed Mutati as Minister of Works and Supply on Tuesday replacing him with Lunte member parliament Mutotwe Kafwaya.
Until February this year, Mutati was finance minister but President Lungu suddenly transferred him to the Ministry of Works and Supply.
Mutati is currently embroiled in legal leadership battle with rival Nevers Mumba over control of the opposition MMD.
His supporters have welcomed his dismissal saying it would now give him time to mobilise MMD.
