Former Football Association of Zambia, FAZ Vice President and Treasure Boniface Mwamelo has said he will appeal the ban imposed by World Football governing body FIFA.
Mwamelo, has been banned for life by FIFA following bribing and match fixing scandals involving Zambia Under 23 game against Cameroon in July 2010 at an Olympic Tournament Invitational played in Cairo, Egypt.
Mwamelo has exercised his right to appeal and he has to do so in the next 21 days.
The MTN Zambia executive took to social media to confirm ‘receipt of the decision’ and he will ‘do everything within’ his ‘means to clear [his] name.
“I confirm receipt of the decision arrived at by the Adujactory Chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee,” Mwamelo wrote on his Facebook page.
“I am glad it is an appealable case, I will do everything within my means to clear my name.
