The LUSAKA Magistrate Court has dismissed the bail application for a PAKISTAN foreign investor arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission –ACC- for possession of properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.
Mr. WAHDAT HUSSEIN, who is also Star Motors Proprietor, tendered the application before LUSAKA Resident Magistrate TREVOR KASANDA last week.
Magistrate KASANDA has however dismissed Mr. HUSSEIN’s bail application on grounds that he a flight risk.
The Magistrate said Mr. HUSSEIN is allegedly on wanted persons’ list in South Africa.
He further underlined that Mr. HUSSEIN allegedly has seven passports.
This is in a matter where Mr. HUSSEIN is charged for being in possession of seven motor vehicles between January 1, 2021 and January 27, 2024 deemed to be proceeds of crime.
