Husband Killer case hangs on
LAWYERS representing Precious Longwe, the woman who is alleged to have killed her husband by shooting him five times, say they will apply for a preliminary inquiry for the Subordinate Court to try her case in the event that the State does not provide instructions to commit her to the High Court.
Precious, 30, a Customer Services Officer at Banc ABC of unknown house number off Buluwe Road, Woodlands Extension in Lusaka is accused of murdering her husband Akakanda Lubinda Liteebele on May 25 after a domestic quarrel.
When the case came up for mention before chief resident magistrate Kenneth Mulife yesterday, the State prosecutors said they had not yet received instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions to commit Longwe to the High Court for trial.
