HPCZ lifts ban on Bachelor of Pharmacy Training Programme at Lusaka Apex Medical University

THE Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) has approved and granted Lusaka Apex Medical University to offer a Bachelor of Pharmacy Programme that was withdrawn about two months ago.The decision has been arrived at after the Council reassessed the training institution and found that the institution has complied with the minimum requirements.HPCZ Registrar and CEO Dr Aaron Mujajati at a press briefing today said all academic activities in the said programme have been allowed to begin with immediate effect.Earlier, the Training institution was found to have not only one qualified lecturer against 740 students but also had an unqualified and unregistered dean as well as inadequate equipment in their laboratory, among other reasons hence the withdrawal of some programmes.
