HPCZ ADVISED TO ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS TO REACH CONSENSUS ON REINTRODUCTION OF LICENSURE EXAMS

The Zambia Medical Association –ZMA-is appealing to the Health Professions Council of Zambia –HPCZ- to hold a stakeholder’s engagement meeting to discuss and reach a consensus on how the reintroduction of licensure exams Will be conducted.

ZMA Secretary General Dr. Roy Tolopu says the meeting should also involve the examination bodies that will be involved in conducting this exam and assurance that the process will be consultative and devoid of political interference.

Dr. Tolopu says the association takes keen interest in these exams and looks forward to the stakeholder’s engagement meeting to kick start this process.

He says the association has since welcomed the re-introduction of licensure exams by the HPCZ.
