HIPPO ‘CUTS’ CHIRUNDU WATER SUPPLY

Water supply to Chirundu District has been cut off after a hippo damaged equipment belonging to Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company.
Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company spokesperson Patson Phiri says engineers have rushed to the area to ascertain the extent of the damage.
Mr Phiri has urged the people in Chirundu to be patient with the water utility firm as it addresses the water crisis.
He said the water utility company is waiting for a report so that it finds a temporary solution to the problem.
Mr Phiri was speaking in a telephone interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.
