HH’s message to all Aspiring and Successful UPND Candidates

As we confirm our candidate selections for the upcoming 11 August 2016 elections we wish to thank all our aspiring candidates for their participation in the selection process. We are truly touched by your support, energy and enthusiasm to run on the UPND ticket.

We congratulate those of you who have been selected. We look forward to campaigning side by side in the coming weeks as we deliver our message across the country: now is the time for change and for a hard working government that is dedicated to serving the interests of the Zambian people.

To our unsuccessful candidates and their supporters our appeal is for unity. While there is no upper limit on UPND membership we are restricted by the number of candidates we can field. Yet we know that each and every one of you has something very valuable to contribute to our campaign and beyond that in delivering on our manifesto. Our purpose as a team remains the same: to unite the people of Zambia behind the UPND and our 10 Point Plan for Zambia.

We must always keep reminding ourselves that we all have the bigger constituency called Zambia to think of, in which we can all positively contribute in many ways for the betterment of our great nation.

With this higher calling in mind let us continue to work together to move Zambia forward.
