HH to meet heads of statutory bodies

Masauso Mkwayaya – President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says statutory bodies should not make money by killing businesses.

President HICHILEMA says he will soon be meeting the heads of statutory bodies and quasi-Government institutions to address issues that include luxury spending.

He said this at the Private Sector Day at Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka.

President HICHILEMA also praised the private sector in Zambia for their resilience in keeping people in employment under difficult circumstances.

He said the business community has given confidence to everyone because they have stayed positive amid pressing economic conditions.

President HICHILEMA said this is why government is asking for more partnerships with the private sector such as raising capital for viable projects.

The Head of State said he wants a renewed approach of dealing with the private sector.
