(ZANIS) President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on musicians in Southern Province to emulate the late Mashombe Blue Jeans Band leader, NEBERT MASHOMBE for his consistency in the music industry.
The President, who was represented at the burial by Pemba District Commissioner, OBEY HABEENZU, described Mr. MASHOMBE as a legend in the music industry.
Meanwhile, Southern Province Arts and Cultural officer MOSES MILIMO told the gathering that the death of Mr. MASHOMBE will remain a loss to the music Industry in the region.
Mr Mashombe who died earlier this week will be remembered for many traditional songs that were recorded using handmade instruments.
