HH meets unsuccessful candidates, calls for unity

UPND presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema has called on those that were left out of the party’s adoption list to work with the succeful candidate and deliver vicory for the party.

He said this when he and his running mate Geoffrey Mwamba met scores of parliamentary aspirants who were not adopted in Kitwe on Sunday.

“I appeal to you to remain united and to continue with us on our journey towards economic liberation,” Hichilema said. “We are one family and there is room for all of us. We do not discriminate because we know we are stronger together and that if we want to deliver real change and progress then we must pull in the same direction.

“Let us differentiate ourselves from the PF in our actions and commitment by showing that we approach Government as a service to the people and not as a means of personal gain. This requires sacrifice and putting self-interest to one side for the good of our country,” he added.
