HH INVITES SOUTH KOREA TO INVEST IN ZAMBIA

(ZANIS) President Hichilema calls for deepening of ties with South Korea

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called for increased investment and cooperation between Zambia and South Korea.

President HICHILEMA says there is also a need for the two countries to deepen bilateral cooperation for the benefit of its peoples.

He explained that the growth of trade and investment between Zambia and South Korea is key in contributing to the growing of the economies of the two countries.

President HICHILEMA said this when he held bilateral talks with South Korea Prime Minister at the margins of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

President HICHILEMA said Zambia wants to learn a lot from South Korea about how it managed to turn its economy around.

He said Zambia will pick lessons from the path taken by South Korea to build a better and sound economy.

Mr Hichilema further stated that Zambia stands ready to implement lessons that helped shape the economy of South Korea.

And speaking earlier, South Korea Prime Minister, HAN DUCK -SOO praised President HICHILEMA for the role Zambia is playing in enhancing democracy on the continent.

Mr HAN said South Korea is desirous to work closely with Zambia and deepen relations the two countries have enjoyed over the years.
