HH filing in nominations
Hakainde Hichilema has successfully filed in his nomination papers for the August election with his run mate Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
Hichilema the opposition UPND presidential candidate filed his nomination paper at 4pm Friday, June 3, 2016.
Addressing hundreds of his supporters after filing in nominations, Hichilema or HH as he is normally called appealed to Zambians not to make a mistake like in 2015 by voting for the PF. He said Zambians have an opportunity to redeem themselves by voting for a leadership that will deliver results.
HH told cheering crowd that the August election is not about promises but delivery. He said the leaders who have been elected in the past have not lived up to their promises.
He said he has a record of delivering results and assured that he will not let Zambians down.
At the same occasion ADD leader Charles Milupi endorsed the candidature of HH and his running mate. Milupi appealed to his members to campaign for UPND.
Other parties that have endorsed HH include MMD, UDF and Dr Ludwig Sondashi’s party.
