HH : FARMERS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF ECONOMY

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says farmers are the foundation of the country’s economy.

President HICHILEMA says his government is committed to strengthening and supporting farmers to secure the country’s food reserves.

He says this is why government has released funds to clear all debts to farmers who sold maize to the Food Reserve Agency -FRA.

President HICHILEMA says farmers will be paid in full.

He says this step is not only important for the farmers but Zambia as a whole as it will promote food security.

This is according to a message on the President’s Facebook page.
