HH CALLS ON DIPLOMATS TO WORK WITH ZAMBIA

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on the diplomatic corps to work with Zambia in addressing the many challenges affecting the country and the world.

President HICHILEMA says food insecurity, energy, climate change and peace and security are among the issues that need to be addressed collectively.

He says the current challenges the world jointly faces cannot be addressed in isolation because they are interconnected.

Speaking during the annual greeting of the diplomatic corps at State House,President HICHILEMA also called on leaders at various levels to work together in finding lasting solutions to the challenges.

Meanwhile, President HICHILEMA said the country has made positive strides in restoring the rule of law, governance and democracy.

And Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Dr. WALID HASAN praised Government for the achievements made such as upholding the rule of law, free education, launch of debt negotiations and increase in CDF.

And Foreign Affairs Minister STANLEY KAKUBO said there is need to enhance partnerships with the diplomats to enhance trade and investments.
