Health Centre Kits arrive

Part of the forty-two thousand Health Centre Kits that Government has bought from India, have started arriving in the country.

Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency -ZAMMSA- Board Chairperson ANNA CHIFUNGULA received the first consignment of 50-Kits at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport -KKIA in Lusaka today.

Ms. CHIFUNGULA said the consignment is symbolic and will be used for benchmarking and quality control purposes.

She said the rest of the Kits will be shipped into the country starting with 7,000 that will arrive by the end of June.

And Ministry of Health Assistant Director Pharmaceutical Services MATHEW MWALE said the Health Centre Kits are the backbone of medical supply needs in health facilities.

And Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Health HEARTSON MABETA said the Health Centre Kits will help improve health care delivery in the country.
