Justice Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE has encouraged juvenile inmates at Katombora Reformatory School in Kazungula District to utilize their time at the facility to acquire life skills.

Speaking when he interacted with the juveniles, Mr. HAIMBE advised them not to view their stay at the facility as punishment but an opportunity to reform and have a second chance to do good.

Meanwhile, Katombora Reformatory School Superintendent KENNEDY SIKAONA appealed to government to consider rehabilitating the infrastructure at the facility.

Mr. SIKAONA said some structures at the facility have been certified unfit for habitation but have continued to be used due to inadequate accommodation.

He however said despite challenges, the reformatory school is doing fine in the area of education and skills development.
