GULF STREAM PRESIDENTIAL JET TO BE SOLD,REPLACED
Defence Minister AMBROSE LUFUMA says the government is in the process of disposing off the Gulfstream Presidential jet and replacing it with another one with similar technicalities.
Mr. LUFUMA says the sale of the Presidential Jet follows it’s under utilization as it has been parked in the hanger even undergoing regular maintenance.
Mr. LUFUMA said this in a Ministerial statement to the National Assembly.
He said that the average maintenance costs of the Jet is around 2.1 million dollars annually.
Meanwhile the Anti-Corruption Commission has announced the arrest of Former Defense Permanent Secretary STARDY Mwale for corruption involving 579 million dollars in relation the procurement of the Gulf stream Presidential jet.
