Green Eagles leave for Rwanda

Zambia’s CAF Champions League envoys Green Eagles haveleft for Rwanda this evening ahead of this year’s CEFAFA-Kagame Cup tournament. Green Eagles FC who have are an invited guest team will be participating in the Cecafa-Kagame Tournament for the first time.

The tournament will kick off on the 6th of July 2019. Winners will walk away with $30,000 with Runners up walking away with $20,000 and the third placed team will walk away with $10,000.

The 2019 transitional Super League runners-up have been drawn in Group C alongside APR , Proline and Heegan. Eagles will play the opening match against Somali Side Heegan FC.

GROUPS FOR THE TOURNAMENT

Group A: Rayon Sports (Rwanda), TP Mazembe (DRC Congo) , Atlabara (South Sudan), KMC (Tanzania)

Group B: Azam FC (Tanzania), Mukura Victory Sports (Rwanda), Bandari Football Club (Kenya), KCCA FC (Uganda).

Group C: APR FC (Rwanda), Green Eagles (Zambia), Proline Football Club (Uganda), Heegan FC (Somalia)

Group D: Gor Mahia (Kenya), DC Motema Pembe (DRC Congo) KMKM ( Zanzibar), AS PORTS FC (Djibouti)
