Green Buffaloes recall Bilton Musonda


Zambia Army Sponsored side Green Buffaloes have recalled Bilton Musonda from his alleged leave. Musonda was fired barely a month ago.

According to ZamFoot crew sources close to Green Buffaloes, Musonda was axed for siding with players who had not been paid their dues.

However, Earlier today the Army command recalled the Zambia U23 National team assistant coach with immediate effect.

“The Zambia Army Command has recalled Warrant officer class one Bilton Musonda from leave where he was to pursue an advanced football course to take charge of Green Buffaloes,” read part of the letter by Colonel Luswenipo Sinyiza the Army Spokesperson.

The army command has also made changes to the Executive Committee replacing Colonel Dennis Sinkamba with Colonel Kelvin Kanguma.

In the same development the Chairman of Green Buffaloes Colonel Dennis Sinkamba has been replaced by Colonel Kelvin Kanguma. The rest of the technical team will be announced in due course. The appointments are with effect from today March 4th.”

Buffaloes are in seventh place in stream A with five points from five games and are coming from a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Lusaka dynamos.

The team’s next encounter is on Saturday at home against free scoring Zanaco who are also coming from a defeat having tested defeat for the first time this season last weekend when they suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Kabwe Warriors.
