GRADE NINE RESULTS OUT

The 2021 Grade 9 External Examination have recorded an 86.31 pass rate.

One hundred and fifteen thousand two hundred and twenty seven(115,227) sat for the examination, and 99, 447 have passed.

Education Minister, DOUGLAS SIAKALIMA has announced in Lusaka, the results of the examination, which candidates sat for in July.

Mr SIAKALIMA said the year’s pass rate is 1 point 9 percentage points better than last year’s pass rate.

He has further said despite no leakages recorded, there were 50 individual and 2 whole centre cases of malpractice.

The Examinations Council of Zambia -ECZ- as since withheld results for the candidates involved in the cases of malpractice.

And speaking the same event, ECZ Director, MICHAEL CHILALA disclosed that marking of the Grade 12 External Examination has not yet started.

Dr CHILALA has explained that the teachers, who were supposed to do the marking, have gone back to work, after the schools re-opened following the COVID-19 closure.
