“Govt Wont Abandon Rescoped Roads”

Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister Vincent Mwale says the re-scoping of 32 major road projects does not mean that government has abandoned plans to tar them.

Mr Mwale says government will re-scope the road project in the first phase but the roads will later be tarred in the other phases.

He says government wants to make the roads accessible by first putting an all- weather gravel.

Mr Mwale says President Edgar Lungu attaches great importance to infrastructure development as evidenced by what he has done in various parts of the country.

He assured the people of Vubwi and Chadiza districts that government will work on the Chipata/Vubwi and Chipata/Chadiza roads.

Mr Mwale was speaking when he featured on a special programme on Breeze FM in Chipata.
