Govt to sponsor all sports disciplines-Nkandu

Government says it will continue to support various sports disciplines to enhance development.

Sports Youth and Arts Minister ELVIS NKANDU says government recognises the importance of the sports sector to the country’s development.

Speaking at the send off ceremony for the athletes going for the All African Games in Ghana, NKANDU said says government will remain in support of all sports activities in the country.

Mr. NKANDU thanked the stakeholders who came on board and helped in sponsoring the athletes.

He said more stakeholders will be engaged and that Government will welcome all those willing to help.

He also urged the athletes to put in more effort and make the country proud as they are ambassadors of the country.

65 athletes will represent Zambia at this year’s All African Games which will commence on the 8th of March in the Ghanaian capital Accra.
