GOVT TO SET UP SOUND LEGAL ENVIRONMENT

Attorney General MULILO KABESHA says government has prioritised the establishment of a sound legal environment that enables the rule of law, peace and justice to thrive.

Mr. KABESHA says this is why policies and strategies have been put in place to enhance access to justice as a key ingredient for the country to attain social economic development.

He said this during the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education – ZIALE – post graduate diploma in legislative drafting graduation ceremony in Lusaka.

And, ZIALE Director ANN ONONUJU said the legislative drafting course provides a unique opportunity to legal practitioners with interest in policy making and processes of law making.

Ms ONONUJU said this in a speech read on her behalf by the Council Secretary LEAH NGULUBE

Speaking at the same event, Chairperson of Board of Examiners DORIS MWINGA said 69 participants under the 2022 intake have graduated with a skill of drafting legislation to regulate and develop the nation.
