By Hector Simfukwe-Government has released 9.7 million Kwacha for the payment of suppliers of face masks to pupils in examination classes.
Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit -DMMU- National Coordinator Chanda Kabwe says the funds will be paid tomorrow to those who supplied the masks to the provincial administration in Central, Copperbelt and North Western Provinces.
Mr. Kabwe says those who will not be paid tomorrow will get their money on Monday next week.
He told ZNBC News that those who supplied face masks to DMMU head office will get their money at the month end.
The DMMU National Coordinator said the payment schedule has already been done and money will be given to all the suppliers.
Mr. Kabwe said President Edgar Lungu has given an instruction that all suppliers of facemasks should be paid on time.
