GOVT TO PAY COUNCIL WORKERS

The Zambia United Local Authorities Workers Union -ZULAWU- and the Fireplace Services and products Union of Zambia -FIRESUZ- safe called on their participants to resume frequent operations as authorities deals with the delayed salaries for local authorities.
This follows several meetings held with Local Government Minister Vincent Mwale, Local Government Carrier Commissioners, Ministry of Finance Permanent Secretary responsible of funds and Public Carrier Management Division among others.
In a joint Dialog launched to ZNBC Recordsdata by ZULAWU Primary Secretary Emmanuel Mwinsa and FIRESUZ Secretary Clement Mulenga, the unions acknowledged the Ministry of Finance will source the last 50 p.c to constitute 100 computer allocation of the Local Government Equalization Fund for August.
The meeting furthermore resolved that the Ministry of Finance will initiate re-allocation of the fund for December 2017 which modified into once no longer disbursed inflicting a one-month prolong in salaries among others.
They furthermore acknowledged the implementation of the Centralized payroll system must be taken as a protracted-term measure to addressing unhurried salaries to local authorities earlier than the terminate of 2018.
