GOVT TO INCREASE NIGHT TRAVEL HOURS -KAFWAYA

Transport Minister Mutotwe Kafwaya says government will increase the number of hours needed for Public Service vehicles to travel at night.

Mr. Kafwaya says government is looking at extending the number of hours allowed to travel at night.

He says the decision will be made before Parliament is dissolved.

Meanwhile, Government has concluded feasibility studies for five major railway projects.

The projects include the Chipata-Petauke-Serenje railway , the 192 kilometer Nseluka – Mpulungu railway and the Livingstone- Kazungula -Sesheke Railway Project.

Others are Lusaka Mass Transit Rail Project and the Kafue to Lions den Zimbabwe Railway Project.

The Minister was speaking during a farewell meeting for CEOs and board chairpersons of institutions under the Ministry.
