GOVT RELEASES 4.5M FOR POTHOLE PATCHING

The National Road Fund Agency -NRFA – has released 4 point 5 Million Kwacha to the Road Development Agency -RDA – towards the patching of potholes on some critical roads in five provinces.

Road Development Agency -RDA- Acting Director Corporate Affairs and Communications ANTHONY MULOWA disclosed to ZNBC News in LUSAKA today.

Mr. MULOWA said the funds are aimed at working on immediate remedial works to ensure the roads are in good state while waiting for long-term interventions.

He said One Million Kwacha has been allocated towards the pothole patching on the Mpika Kasama Road, while another One million Kwacha towards the patching of the Kasama-Mbala-Mpulungu Road.

Other portions to be worked on include Kabwe-Chibombo, Kapiri Mposhi -Ndola and Chingola – Kasumbalesa which have been allocated five hundred thousand Kwacha each.

Mr MULOWA said Lusaka Province will get One Million Kwacha for the Great East Road from Lusaka Airport Round about to RUFUNSA.

The Provinces are Lusaka, Central, Copperbelt, Northern and Muchinga.
