Govt justifies increase in minimum wages

Labour Minister, BRENDA TAMBATAMBA says the increment in wages for domestic workers is because they have not gotten any upward adjustment in five years.

Ms. TAMBATAMBA says this was because of COVID 19 which affected employers.

Speaking during ZNBC’s SUNDAY Interview, Ms. TAMBATAMBA called on employers to adhere to the new changes in the minimum wages.

And Ms. TAMBATAMBA has clarified that the minimum wage is meant to benefit those that do NOT belong to unions.
