GOVT FOR STRONG HEALTH SYSTEM

Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya says stakeholder collaborations can enhance disease prevention mechanisms and build a strong health system that ensures that Zambians attain universal health coverage.
Dr Chilufya says stakeholder participation and the implementation of financial mechanisms are key in strengthening the country’s the health system.
Dr. Chilufya was speaking at the National HIV Prevention Correlation Breakfast meeting in Lusaka.
He said HIV is a devastating Public health challenge and must be prevented in order to promote good health among Zambians.
And UNAIDS Country Director Medhin Tsehaiu has commended the county for having a mature HIV treatment program.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Finance Permanent Secretary Mukuli Chikuba said government is remains committed to ensuring that infection rates are narrowed down through increased financial support.
Speaking at the same event, Vice Chair Person of the National HIV Prevention correlation Bishop Paul Mususu said the endorsement of the 2019 HIV Prevention roadmap is currently underway.
