Mr. Kapulo further said government has procured solar equipment for schools which have not yet been connected to the national electricity grid to enable them use computers and some teaching materials.

He observed that the teaching of science subjects will also be enhanced as laboratory equipment are part of the program.

Meanwhile Eastern Provincial Education Officer Allan Lingambe said the new furniture being distributed in schools will help boost morale among teaching staff.

And Lundazi District Education Board Secretary Mukule Banda said most schools in remote areas lack furniture and as a result school authorities end up using desks and chairs meant for learners.

And, Speaking when he received a brand new vehicle Chasefu District Education Board Secretary Edward Ngoma thanked government for the gesture saying the car will help with the monitoring of projects and programs in the district.
