Government has concluded negotiations with private partners engaged to rehabilitate the Lusaka – Ndola dual carriage way and will in the next ten days sign the contract.
Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI says the Lusaka-NDOLA dual carriage way will be under taken in three years but that before the actual works start, the concessionaire will undertake emergency rehabilitation works on the road.
Mr. MILUPI said other major roads that government will rehabilitate include the Sesheke Livingstone road and the Great East road among others.
The Minister spoke when he called on Copperbelt province Minister ELISHA MATAMBO.
Mr. MILUPI is on the Copperbelt to inspect major roads.
And Transport and Logistics Minister FRANK TAYALI assured NDOLA residents that the Minsundu road and other roads within NDOLA will be worked on.
