Govt Concerned With Online Falsehoods

Government is concerned with politicians and the public using online platforms to tarnish the image of the country by spreading falsehoods.Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya says fake news being peddled by some people including politicians is meant to spread hatred against government.She said fake news on corruption has the capacity to erode investor confidence which in turn affects the economy.Ms. Siliya has advised people who think they have evidence of corruption to report to relevant institutions instead of taking to social media.She was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka today.
