Health Minister Jonas Chanda says Government is aware of the inequality in accessing health services especially for poor communities.
Dr Chanda has however reiterated Government’s commitment to making health accessible to Zambians.
He says the gap in accessing health services will be closed through having everyone access health services under the universal health coverage by 2030 adding.
Dr. Chanda was speaking during a virtual meeting with World Health Organization Country representative Nathan Bakyaita and UNICEF representative Noala Skinner and to mark World Health Day.
And Dr. Bakyaita said his organization is concerned that Covid-19 has had a very negative impact on developing countries.
He further called for action to eliminate inequities in provision of health services.
