GOVT ASSURES CHIEFS

Gender Minister Elizabeth Phiri has reaffirmed government’s commitment to continue empowering women and youths under the Agriculture Development through Value Chain Enhancement project, Advance.Ms. Phiri further assured  traditional leaders in the province of Governments commitment to working with traditional leaders in fostering development in the country.The Gender Minister was speaking when she paid a courtesy call on Caretaker Senior Chief Ndungu of the Luvale people who is also Mize Capital Prime Minister Patrick Fumbelo at his palace in Zambezi District.Ms. Phiri paid tribute to the late Senior Chief Ndungu for working with government in various developmental programmes aimed at uplifting the lives of his subjects in the Chiefdom.She said government will continue to work with the Chiefdom through the Advance project so that women and youths can realise the intended benefits of the project.
