Oriental Quarries Boxing has appealed to the government through the Ministry of Youths, Sports and Arts to promote boxing across the country.

Organisation Boxing Promoter Manager, CHRISTOPHER MALUNGA says he has noted that most of the competitors in the sport are usually from within Lusaka.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka, MALUNGA urged Amateur boxing coordinators to see how they can incorporate others provinces to take part in the competition.

Meanwhile, Oriental Quarries Boxing have unveiled a forthcoming Africa Boxing Union-ABU Competition between Zambia’s ABU Defending Champion DAVID MWALE and Kenya’s  JAMES MUNGENI.

MALUNGA disclosed the competition is scheduled to take place on April 6,2024 from Government Complex at a total cost of 910,000 kwacha.

He said at the same event, a main title supporting match is also scheduled to take place between GRACIOUS SIMWALIZI from Zambia and ASAN MILANZI from Zimbabwe.
