GOVT ADVISES ZAMBIANS

Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya says there is need to encourage Zambians to engage in various business activities.
Ms. Siliya says capital flight is rife because there are few local investors in the country.
She has called for a financial Sector regime that would make it possible for Zambians to easily access capital for investment.
Ms. Siliya says Finance Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe is on record of having expressed concern over the high interest rates among commercial banks, making it difficult for Zambians to borrow.
Ms. Siliya who is also Information and Broadcasting Services Minister said this during Sunday Interview Programme, that will run this Evening on ZNBC TV One.
Meanwhile Ms. Siliya re-affirmed President Edgar Lungu’s call for a mindset change among Zambians from various walks of life to promote local production of goods and to buy local products.
She commended the Ministry of Higher Education for its resolve to buy school desks locally.
