Government Urged To Reduce Cost Of Doing Business For Aviation Industry

By Prudence Siabana.

Mahogany air chief executive officer Jim Belemu says for the aviation industry to thrive in Zambia there is need for government to reduce the cost of doing business for the operators. Dr Belemu observes that the country’s aviation system is poised for growth but without removing the barriers it will be difficult to attain any meaningful growth.

Dr. Belemu was speaking during the mahogany air cocktail launch on the global distribution system in conjunction with travel port in Lusaka last night.

At the same event tourism council of Zambia representative Yousif Zumla says the development will allow mahogany air to improve customer management and also ensure the airline attains competitiveness in accessibility at global level.

Meanwhile economics association of Zambia president Lubinda Habazoka urged local businesses to grow and penetrate the international market.
