Government Urged To Adhere To Strict Budgetary Objectives In 2020 Budget

Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Hidenobu Sobashima has urged the Zambian government to observe strict budgetary management system in the 2020 national budget.

In an interview with phoenix news, Mr Sobashima says in view of huge amount of national debt that the country has accumulated, adhering to the objectives of the budget is the only remedy of running a sound economic system that supports the growth of all sectors of the economy with minimum application of resources.

Mr Sobashima says once adhered to, the measures will ensure a sustained and stabilized economic growth.

Finance Minister Bwalya Ng’andu will this month present the 2020 national budget.
