Government Told To Stop Using Climate Change As An Excuse For Its Failures To See Zambia Attain Development

UPND Nkeyema Member of Parliament, Kapelwa Mbangweta says government should desist from using climate change as an excuse for its failures in ensuring Zambia attains the much needed development.

Speaking in an interview with phoenix news, Mr. Mbangweta notes that government seems to be more of a complainant when talking about issues of climate change as opposed to giving solutions.

Mr. Mbangweta has however urged government to update the nation on how government owned climate resilient projects as well as those carried with the help of supporting partners are performing.

In his address during the opening of parliament last Friday, President Edgar Lungu bemoaned the adverse effects that climate change is having on the country.
