Give shorter contracts rather than wasting so much money, Sports Minister tells FAZ

Minister of Sports, Youth and Arts Elvis Nkandu says there’s need for FAZ to revise the contracts for the national team coach to ensure he delivers.

Aljosa Asanovic was given a 4-year contract by FAZ last week.

Nkandu also assured that the new dawn adminstration is committed to supporting all sports disciplines in the country.

“I propose that we give shorter contracts to coaches such as two years to observe if they perform rather than us wasting so much money,” Nkandu said over the weekend

Not for the first time, Nkandu also expressed dissapointment that Zambia did not make it to the Africa Cup of Nations for the third time in a row.

“We can’t be failing to qualify for such an important tournament due to the low performance of the people we hire.
